Carlos Cancio has been with balance salon spa for the last 18 years. He has over 23 years in the hair care industry. He began his hair career while attending Engineering School in Cuba. Then, upon coming to America, he continued to further his creative God-given talent, following his passion for hair. It is truly an inspirational rise from extreme Communism to living the American Dream, that you only see in the movies.
In 1994, he became an assistant and barely spoke any English at all. He assisted shampoos and cleaned up the salon. In 1996, he began styling hair as a Junior Stylist. Just a year later, he became a Main Stylist, a position he kept for five years. In 2002, he became a Master Stylist. Now, he is an incredible stylist, businessman and Owner of the salon (since 2008) along with his wife, Tina Cancio.
Carlos has successfully completed numerous business and technical training programs; including those at the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in San Francisco, CA; Tony & Guy, and the AVEDA Institute Training in Miami and St. Petersburg, FL.
